SIKI MGABADELI
Siki Mgabadeli is a freelance financial and current affairs journalist and much sought-after moderator and facilitator in South Africa. She also anchors the annual GSM Associationâs World Congress (Global Systems for Mobile Communications) in Barcelona as well as their âConnected Womenâ summits.
She has facilitated and moderated panel discussions for the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, the IBSA Editorâs Conference in India and the African Green Revolution Conference in Oslo, Norway. Add to that too many government and corporate events to count, both in South Africa and abroad.
The former daily anchor of the âThe SAFM Market Update with Moneyweb and the nightly business show âMoneyline on eNCAâ, Siki also hosted eNCAâs âThe Big Debateâ, which earned her the titled âAfrican Journalist to Watchâ from YouTube.
This acclaimed TV and radio personality has also twice been named the âSanlam Financial Journalist of the Year â TVâ and she was included in the âMail & Guardian Book of South African Womenâ
Siki won the acclaimed âTelkom ICT Journalist (TV) of the Yearâ Awardâ and her alma mater, Rhodes University, presented her with the âEmerging Old Rhodian Awardâ for 2015 in recognition of her role as one of the leading public voices on finance in South African media.
She holds an Honours Degree in Journalism from Rhodes University and is currently reading for her Masters in Journalism and Media Studies at Wits University.
